Childcare Services

We cater for all ages of pre-school children at the centre. From playgroups for babies through occasional care for up to 5 year olds.

You can bring your baby to the Maternal and Child Health nurses after birth, and move on to our Baby Playgroup, then to older playgroup, Take-A-Break and on to Kindergarten, before heading to the Karingal Primary School that backs onto the centre.

This long-term association provides a familiar environment and established social connections throughout the crucial early development years of your child's life.

ASCA Children’s Art (Expression of Interest)

Have fun with Art! ASCA Art Classes are a fun and creative way for children to explore, create, experiment and express themselves through a variety of materials. Children create animals, robots, dolls, puppets and other sculptures - even entire cities and forests out of papier mache, clay and recycled materials. Students enjoy using different types of paint and drawing materials from charcoal to pastels and more to create different effects. The creative process encourages problem solving and creative thinking both in and outside of the classroom. A great way to make friends and have fun while learning. Thursday afternoons commencing in August. Please phone Sunari on 0499 088 115  or email This email address is being protected from spambots. From time to time we need help at the centre with things we don't have the time or skill or capability to do. These tasks may include gardening, general handyman tasks, helping to move boxes or furniture around etc. If you would like to help us out occasionally, please let Ev know at reception.
The best way to see what activities and programs are in the works, is to keep an eye on our Proposed Activities section. Here you can express your interest in joining one of the listed activities and see how close it's coming to reaching minimum numbers - and therefore being held. You can find it under the Programs and Activities menu item at the top of the page.
We are often looking for volunteers to help out with various tasks and roles at the centre - including on our Committee of Management. Volunteering in your community is a great way to meet new people, take an active part in shaping what happens at your community centre, and making use of (and even improving) those skills you have but aren't currently putting to use. We are currently seeking a volunteer with a horticultural background to facilitate our proposed Gardening in Small Spaces free workshops. Please call Lauren on 8786 6651.
